Brazilian Blowout Controversy

The Brazilian Blowout is causing alot of controversy in the hair industry. Many salons are starting to pull the product off their shelves. The product contains Formaldehyde which is known as  carcinogen and it causes a variety of respiratory and skin problems. I advise anyone that is considering getting a brazilian blowout to do their research first on the product.

I'm A Do Me

Can we be honest for a moment and say trying to please others can be draining? In other words, trying your best to make the most out of every situation for everyone can deplete your soul and cause you to lose your mind. Whenever you spend so much time doing for others, that you neglect doing for yourself, you've burned yourself out. Don't get me wrong, there's nothing wrong with helping others and going the extra mile, but if you fail to balance yourself and seek to do all that God has called you to do, you'll stress yourself out. That's why every now and again, you've got to implant the phrase, 'I'm a do me' in your spirit. It's not cocky or arrogant; it's reminding yourself to stay focused and passionate about reaching your goals.

In a real sense, self-control will help you become more appreciative of the things God has deposited in your life. Stop Hindering Yourself

I was listening to the Steve Harvey Show this morning while driving to work and Steve made  a good point about past history. Past history sometimes hinder us from getting to where we need to be, and where god wants us to be. When you start to change for the better, that is when you will see who really supports you in your transition to become a better you. Like, I stated before I am not a real religious person but I am a spiritual person. Right now during my very own transition god has revealed to me who really has  my back and  supports the new me through my transition. Sometimes we allow some of our  family and friends to hinder us from improving by  some of the negative  comments or statements that they have said to us, which causes us to actually start believing over a period of time  that we can not accomplish our dreams, goals, etc.  Never let no one break your spirit, anything is possible especially when you have god's  favor. Surround yourself with positive and lets eliminate the negative in/from your life. Have a wonderful, safe and bless day.

Peace Within

This morning when I woke up, I was not in a pleasant mood. I had so much on my mind the night before that caused me to have a restless night. Once I got on my knees and prayed I felt much better. I have to leaned that I can not allow what I am going through to deter me from being the woman god wants me to be. Life is about trials, tribulations, sacrifices, determination and faith. I am learning that as you move into a spiritual realm where you want to obtain tranquility and serenity you will face negative obstacles that will try to knock you off of your path, but  by staying strong and determine I will continue on my journey of peace within. Letting Go

Letting go of material items, people, situations and relationships is very hard to do. In order to grow within yourself , you have to eliminate all of the negative elements that are hindering you from become who god wants you to be. Let go of  all your past hurts, failures and bad relationships. By,  holding on to these elements you will  continue to keep yourself in a  negative bondage forever. I have learned that in order to get were I needed to be, I had to rid myself of all negative and distracting things/people. Once you let go of the negative, you will feel much better and see things more clearly. God wants you to be the best  you can be. So, on that note Let Go and Let God.

I thank god for allowing me to  see another day. I love the fact that I have grown mentally and spiritually within the  last couple of years. I am not a real religious person, but I am a very spiritually person. I thank god for the good and the bad experiences that I have encountered in this  journey called  life. I love my close circle of friends that have been by my side through the ups and downs. I appreciate them for being direct, honest, supportive and telling me about myself when it was needed.
